Jane Hoffer, President and CEO

Jane HofferJane Hoffer is president and chief executive officer of Prescient Applied Intelligence (OTCBB: PPID). She is responsible for directing the long-term vision of the company and its commitment to remaining a competitive force in a rapidly changing marketplace. 

Prior to Prescient Applied Intelligence, Hoffer was president and CEO of Prescient Systems for eight years, evolving the company into a premier provider of retailer-centric planning solutions for the consumer products market. In 2004, Hoffer led Prescient Systems through a merger with viaLink, a provider of advanced commerce  for the retail supply chain, and created Prescient Applied Intelligence.  Hoffer has also held key management positions at IBM and Lucas-Bear.  During her tenure at Lucas-Bear, Hoffer led a management buyout in December 1996 to form Prescient Systems.

Hoffer has been named a Woman of Distinction by The National Association of Women Business Owners, a finalist in Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year® award program, an Entrepreneur of the Year from the Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, as well as one of the Best 50 Women in Pennsylvania and Philadelphia's Top 40 Businesspersons under 40. Hoffer also currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Albert Einstein Healthcare Network, where she is an active member of both the strategic planning committee and physician services board. Hoffer is a summa cum laude graduate of Texas A&M University, holding a bachelor's of science degree in electrical engineering.

Elliot Zimmerman, SVP of Field Operations

Elliot Zimmerman As Prescient’s senior vice president of field operations, Elliot Zimmerman is responsible for managing Prescient’s prospects and install base accounts, as well as defining the go-to-market strategy for Prescient’s solution offerings, professional services and outsourced business services.

From 2004 until joining Prescient, Zimmerman was director of professional services for Navis. During his tenure there, Zimmerman built an implementation consulting practice to support company growth, managed all client engagement activities, defined the company’s implementation approach and methodology, and established partnerships to augment consulting resources.

From 1996 to 2004, Zimmerman served as director of consulting services for the inventory and logistics practice at Manugistics. While at Manugistics, Zimmerman led key client engagements, ensured quality for multiple system implementations, and managed and mentored the inventory and logistics team. He also helped direct the strategy for service offerings, applications, and consultant certification. During his tenure at Manugistics, Zimmerman honed his supply chain skills, receiving top honors for implementation and management of Manugistics solutions with more than 25 Fortune 500 companies in the consumer products, retail, and grocery industries.

Zimmerman holds a Bachelor of Science degree in logistics and transportation from the University of Maryland.

Bill Woerner, VP of Professional Services

Bill Woerner As Vice President of Professional services for Prescient, Bill Woerner is responsible for the management of the professional services practice, including oversight of solution implementations, day-to-day management of the professional services team, and driving new business opportunities for Prescient’s services team with prospects and within Prescient’s existing customers.

From 1998 until joining Prescient, Woerner served in various roles at Manugistics, including: consulting practice manager, responsible for overseeing the implementation of the company’s supply chain planning solutions in the U.S., Europe, and Latin America; senior program manager, responsible for the company’s life sciences and chemical & energy services practices; and director of consulting services, responsible for managing the company’s program management office as well as being part of the consulting services’ senior management team. While at Manugistics, Woerner worked with an impressive roster of clients including over 30 of the Fortune-500 from the consumer packaged goods, pharmaceutical, transportation, oil & gas, and retail industries.

Prior to joining Manugistics, Woerner was a senior market manager at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, where he was responsible for the pricing and equipment allocation for BNSF’s fresh and frozen perishable shippers.

Woerner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Huntingdon College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia.

Jim Eckels, Director of Supply Chain Development

Jim EckelsJim Eckels is director of development at Prescient. He is responsible for overall infrastructure operations and product development, strategy and direction of Prescient's retailer-centric and advanced commerce solutions.  Eckels spearheads the expansion of Prescient's supply chain software solutions and services; he is also responsible for defining and implementing advanced commerce functionality around item, price, and promotion data management. Under Eckels' leadership, Prescient is the recipient of numerous client satisfaction and technology awards, including Philadelphia's 2005 Small Business Excellence Award for Technology Company of the Year.

Eckels has held a variety of product development roles at Prescient since joining the firm in 1996. Prior to Prescient, Eckels worked as an independent contractor for an information systems consulting company. He also spent six years serving in the United States Marine Corps. Eckels holds a bachelor's of science degree in computer science from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania. 

Kent Rice, Director of Advanced Commerce Development

Kent Rice Kent Rice is director of advanced commerce development at Prescient. He is responsible for the development, strategy, and direction of Prescient’s Advanced Commerce solutions. In this role, Rice oversees the definition and implementation of the advanced commerce application, based on item, price, and promotion data

Rice has been with the organization since 1988, when the company was doing business as the Applied Intelligence Group. From there, the company evolved into the viaLink Company and in 2004, merged with Prescient Systems, Inc. to become Prescient Applied Intelligence. Rice has held a variety of development positions from database administrator to application architect.

Prior to Prescient, Rice worked as an information systems consultant for McDonnell Douglas and a database administrator for both American Airlines and TG&Y stores.

Rice holds a bachelor’s of science degree in computer science from the University of Central Oklahoma, in Edmond Oklahoma.
